DIRECTIONS FOR CREATING YOUR WARHOL FALL LEAF ART

Step 1

  • To create four frames, fold the paper in fourths. To get straight lines, I prefer to use a ruler.
  • This will prevent the watercolors from blending into each other.

Step 2

  • You can choose from four crayon colors or four watercolors.
  • Use a pencil to trace the leaf pattern.

Step 3

  • Use a bold stroke technique to color each leaf with a different crayon. The crayon should be applied thickly to ensure the best resistance to watercolors.
  • Each leaf can be colored, so you might review it to ensure the crayon is evenly spread.

Step 4

  • Each square can be painted using the four watercolors.
  • In this case, the same colors were used to make squares diagonally opposite each other.
  • However, ultimately, it is up to you as the artist to decide where your color preferences are.
